Creative Joy Studios
We are a woman owned, Southern California based inspirational art studio and playground for your imagination to soar, located inside The Del Amo Fashion Center. Creative Joy Studios is a safe, inclusive, and artistic wonderland where creativity meets JOY. We offer a wide variety of thoughtfully curated creative experiences for kids and adults. Whether you are a beginner, an expert, or a “non-creative”, we provide a wide variety of super cool projects to engage in. We host drop-in “DIY Make & Takes'', public classes, private parties (birthday, wedding shower, baby shower, graduation celebrations), camps, team building events, parents night out events, retreats, mobile classes, memberships, digital download workshops, Create Joy Art Kits and fabulous merchandise. We also love to showcase new and upcoming artists in our gallery. Our intention is to provide a happy haven where the inner artist is completely inspired and unleashed. Our goal is for everyone to leave with a happy heart and a ROCKIN’ MASTERPIECE!

OUR FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Angelique-Talbert, a.k.a “The Fairy Art Mother, is a high energy and passionate educator, creative, speaker, coach, and entrepreneur. She has always loved creating and crafting since she was a little girl. She comes from generations of artists and started her first business painting on the windows of businesses at the age of 10 and selling her crafts to friends and family in elementary school. She studied Fine Art with a full art scholarship to Long Beach State University and transferred to The University of Southern California earning a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She and her husband have three teenagers, ages 16, 17 and 18. Angelique has been volunteering in their classrooms teaching art lessons, since they were in kindergarten. She is also a motivational speaker, business coach and event planner that coordinate transformational conferences and empowerment summits for women business owners, youth organizations, schools and churches. She believes that exploring art should focus on enjoying the PROCESS of expanding your imagination through innovative thinking.
OUR APPROACH
We encourage our students to fully explore their creativity and take them on a joy journey of possibilities using different techniques, methods, and mediums. Art is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We are a judgement free environment that encourages bravery, surrendering of the ego, and the allowing of the soul’s desire to be fully expressed. Through positive instruction, “I can’ts” become “I got this”. We have thrown out the idea of perfection and believe practice makes progress. We believe in intuitive process based art-making, as well as, teaching traditional fine art methodologies and encouraging new innovative styles of expression. We empower our guest to have a positive, open artist MINDSET, where they develop their ability to analyze, explore, risk, problem solve, re-imagine, and evolve in their self-confidence. We passionately believe that there is no right or wrong way to express yourself through art and we worked hard to create a safe and inclusive space where artists of all ages and abilities can feel inspired to explore their own unique creative voice.
